The Global Antibiotic Crisis<\/h2>

The WHO reports that 2,365,972 people were infected with antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in 2018. We are not ready for a medical emergency which has been with us for many years. And it will get worse over the next two decades. Millions of people are adversely affected and die of bacterial infections every year.

\r\nThe solution? Bacteriophages or Phages. They currently are, and can be\r\nused more frequently, as an alternative to antibiotics, to cure people\r\nby efficiently eliminating bacterial infections.<\/span><\/p>

What are Bacteriophages?<\/h2>

Phages are special. They have a very specialised and unique job to do.\r\nThey only neutralise specific bacteria and nothing else around that\r\ninfectious bacteria. They use the cells' environment to multiply and\r\neventually eradicate all the infectious bacteria of the same\r\nkind.\u00a0Nothing more.
\r\n
\r\nPhages are becoming a growing solution to treating bacterial infections, in cases where bacteria have developed multi-antibiotic drug\r\nresistance.<\/span><\/p>
